Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a novella written by Robert Louis Stevenson, published in 1886. It explored the consequences of Dr. Jekyll using a potion to separate his good side from his more sinister tendencies. However, the potion creates the unwanted consequence of Dr. Jekyll uncontrollably metamorphosing into the evil Mr. Hyde.
