The Island of Lost Souls (Erle C. Kenton, 1932) Based on H.G. Wells' novel The Island of Dr. Moreau, written in 1896. In the novel, a shipwrecked man is left on an island that Dr. Moreau lives and works creating sentient animals by way of vivisection.
